FLSA STATUS: Hourly / non-exempt

JOB SUMMARY:

Maintenance is responsible for performing a wide range of basic repair and upkeep tasks to ensure buildings, equipment, and grounds remain safe, functional, and in good condition. This role supports daily operations by troubleshooting issues, conducting routine inspections, and responding to maintenance requests in a timely manner.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, equipment, and facilities (e.g., plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting).
  • Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and structural issues.
  • Complete work orders and respond promptly to maintenance requests.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend the life of equipment and facilities.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of work areas, tools, and equipment.
  • Assemble, install, or move furniture, fixtures, and equipment as needed.
  • Assist with landscaping, groundskeeping, and minor custodial duties when required.
  • Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and company policies.
  • Possible heavy machinery operating.
  • Report major repair needs or safety hazards to the Maintenance Manager.
  • Attend all necessary training and departmental meetings as required.
  • Maintains a professional work environment with casino guests, management, and staff.
  • Must meet the attendance guidelines of the job.
  • Must adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
  • Must uphold and promote a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Performs all other tasks or duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • To perform this job successfully, the requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age upon employment.
  • High school diploma or its equivalent required.
  • Previous maintenance experience preferred.
  • Must have basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Must have the ability to deal effectively with and interact well with others
  • Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid Key license through the OGC
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Must have a valid driver’s license

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Must be able to stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Must be able to work on ladders and roofs with heights up to 35 feet.
  • Must be able to utilize Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Must be able to work in harsh weather conditions when needed.
  • Must be able to respond to emergencies such as medical, evacuations, and fire.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
  • Maintain physical stamina to perform manual labor and sustain a proper mental attitude to effectively handle high-pressure situations, changing priorities, and urgent maintenance needs.
